Live The Life You Love, Use The God You Trust, And Don't Take It All Too Seriously

Stuff

I hate it when you have an idea worked out in your head, and then forget it all before you get a chance to write your post.

Anyway, we went to Ye Merry Greenwood Faire on Sunday, and it was lots of fun. We met the Arnolds sans Ari, and the Walkers sans Dave. We all had a good time. See how exciting I make it sound? The Seattle Knights jousting event was a crowd pleaser. H got the broken end of a lance from one of the knights! I don't have to tell you how much he loves it. My favorite is Zinger the Magick & Royal Magic. The show they put on is awesome. I especially like his apprentice Richard. The kids and I also got a kick out of Punch & Judy. That is one silly puppet show.

Chel and I have recently gotten hooked on Deadwood. Everybody kept telling us how great it is and that we should check it out. We finally gave in, as the last HBO show someone suggested to us, The Soprano's, turned out to be REALLY good. Well, Deadwood is just the same. Very good program.

Well I can't think of anything else so....

Ruts

Have you ever noticed that you totally get stuck in a pattern? In a "rut" if you will. I find myself doing that quite often. A prime example would be the music I listen to. If you haven't noticed in my sidebar by now, I tend to go back to a lot of the same bands time and again. I will get into something new for awhile, but often slip back to "comfort" music. Lots of it derived from my teens & early twenties. I think some things just stick to your ribs like oatmeal.

Did you notice how many dumb sayings I just used? Or how many times I used the word notice/d?

Books & That

So, I went to Chelee's book group the other night. It was pretty fun, even though I was the only boy. Until John got home, but that's something else altogether. Anyway, it was a good time. Chel says I can come again in the future. If I've read the book, that is. Which I have read at least three of the upcoming ones. So I guess I'll tag along again for those.
