Weekend In Bavaria

Not really, just Leavenworth. But it was really fun. We stayed at a little inn that we got a gift certificate for. It looked like it may have been a small apartment building many years ago. It was pretty cool. For more info and photos go over to Bohemian Oatmeal. She's better at this stuff than I am.

Rockin' In Richland

So this is way overdue, but, here goes. On the 11th of this month, almost 2 weeks ago, I know, I went down to Ray's Golden Lion and saw Powerman 5000! No shit. I don't know how the promoter guys got hooked up with the artist management agency that handles these bigger bands(Alien Ant Farm, 1000 Foot Crutch, PM5K), but they are bringing decent talent to town. I have been informed that more is on the way, including a show at the TRAC in the future.

Anyway, PM5K was so fucking awesome!!! They totally rocked Ray's to the ground. Best live band I have seen in the Tri-Cities in a long while. Although their set was only about an hour & 20 minutes, they filled the time with one kick ass song after another, including new stuff from the album the are releasing in a few months. Even though they left out about 4 or 5 songs I think they should have played, I would highly recommend seeing them to anyone. The 2 opening bands were really good too(what a surprise). The first one was Soblivious, and they were pretty much speed metal, but good none the less. The second was Point Defiance out of Seattle. These guys really "wow"ed me. Not as heavy, and with more structure and melody to the songs.

Recap: I had a fantastic time. You should have been there. Also, you can drink at Ray's. A big plus in my book. And they have an all ages section, so the youngsters can attend too.

Bullshit!

The Superbowl was complete shit!!! That was the worst officiating I have ever seen! That main ref clearly hated Seattle. I mean that call on the Seahawks first touchdown was crap! PUSHING!!!!! Come on. And then Pittsburgs so called first touchdown. The Steelers "Won" that game the same way George W. "Won" his first term of office. That blows pee-pee.
