Live The Life You Love, Use The God You Trust, And Don't Take It All Too Seriously

Farewell, Mr. Duke

As some of you may have heard, author, gonzo journalist, counter-culture icon, and general maniac, Hunter S. Thompson ended his life on Sunday at his home in Colorado. This is a real loss to the world, as we will no longer be able to receive his insane wisdom or acerbic assault on the American political/cultural scene. If you have never read any of his work, I would urge you to. It's great stuff.

He was one of my favorite authors and I for one will miss him.

Mankinds Greatest Achievement

What is it, you ask? The printing press, perhaps the moon landing? Phooey! It's the iPod! That's right. 5000 songs, your entire music collection at the tip of your fingers. Not to mention audiobooks. Or the contacts list. Or the calender. Or the other stuff I haven't figured out yet. Everyone should have one.

I don't know how I lived before I got this thing......

The Joy Of New Stuff!

Hooray, our Melmac lunch trays finally got here on Friday! They are so awesome. Henry likes to eat off of them. So do I. Melmac is cool.

I can hardly stand the wait for our income tax return to get here so I can get my iPod! It's flippen' killing me! I hate waiting for stuff. I need to figure out what I want to put on it. So many choices and so much space!

Chelee and the rest of us are still enjoying the Vita-Mix! It kicks ass supreme!!! You can do everything with it. It rocks. I think it has become a new member of the family. It's that great!

In other news Chelee and I watched "Harold and Kumar go to White Castle" last night. I have to say that it was pretty damn funny. Especially the part with Neil Patrick Harris, T.V.'s Doogie Houser. I laughed hard. I'm glad it was only a $.99 rental, as I would have been disappointed to pay full movie price in a theater for a movie that was only 1 hour 27 minutes long, including the end credits! Still funny though.

Well that's it for now.....o.k. bye.
